This shake is designed for those of you who find it hard to gain muscle and need a way to cram in some extra calories. Sometimes, eating 3000+ calories just isn't possible and shakes are a great way to condense a lot of calories into an easily consumed form. Although this shake is calorie dense, the macronutrient profile is friendly and good for keeping lean. Lean protein, slow absorbing carbohydrates and healthy unsaturated fats make this shake great for post workout meals!

Ingredients

Small

  • ½  cup of milk
  • 1-2 scoops of protein powder
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • Handful of mixed berries (optional)
  • ½ cup of oats
  • Ice (optional)
Large
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 scoops of protein powder
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • Handful of mixed berries (optional)
  • 1 cup of oats
  • Ice (optional)

Steps

  1. Blend oats until they form a powder/
  2. Put the rest of the ingredients in and blend.
  3. Serve. 

Tips

  • Make a large one and have it as a side for two meals.
  • Drink straight after workout to promote optimal protein synthesis windows.
  • Best served cold!
  • Have between meals if your trying to gain mass.
